Goal
To familiarize the congregation with the joint recommendations from the Deacons, Finance Committee and Ministerial staff of Union Baptist Church.
Recommendations
1. To purchase the 1 acre property located at 6633 Washington Pike (located next door to the church property, on the west side) at a cost of $85,000.

Usage: New food pantry ministry, additional ministry/classroom space, future parking expansion
2. To purchase a new video switcher and cameras for the Media Ministry at a cost of $17,000.

3. To replace the deteriorating roof on all gabled buildings at a cost of $30,000.
4. To repair and reseal the parking lot at a cost of $9,000.

5. To build a new picnic pavilion and enclose the existing structure for storage at a cost of $7,000.*
* Potential usage: A place for community outreach events, congregational fellowship and increased storage space
6. To purchase and install new playground equipment at a cost of $4,000.
7. To sell the 1 acre lot located at 6621 Washington Pike at a price of $25,000.
8. To pay legal fees associated with:
- Closure of Knox County Right of Way
- Combine property deeds for tax exemption purposes
- Acquiring the property at 6633 Washington Pike, deed transfer for lot at 6621 Washington Pike
